EN 531:  Protective clothing for workwers exposed to heat

Tchaikovsky Textile uses Pyrovatex®, from Huntsman (Ciba) for its fireproof impregnation. Pyrovatex® penetrates the fibres and due to strong covalent bonds with cotton, it gives our fabrics fireproof qualities.

Tchaikovsky Textile's fireproof fabrics comply with EN 531.

Clothing made from this fabric:

• does not burn or melt near an open flame or when faced with high temperatures
• does not smoulder when surrounded by flames for 30 seconds
• keeps its original shape after being subjected to flames
•  the self-extinguishing property of the fabric will be intact for its whole lifecycle
•  keeps its protective qualities after 200 washes
• can be used in extreme circumstances
•  is very durable.
