Climate coatings
Climate coatings provide maximum protection from unfavourable weather conditions, water, oil and oil products. Depending on the clients’ requirements, different types of this coating are applied.
Climate 1
Fabrics with a Climate 1 vapour resistant coating effect have increased parameters of water resistancy and protect ion from the wind. This type of coating is used as a cover for protection from petroleum, oil, water as well as for making raincoats and waterproof tents.
Climate 2+
The microporous coating Climate 2+ 'breathes" and has a fine hydrophobic porous film with millions of microscopic pores. Due to its special structure, both coatings provide fabric high characteristics:
water resistancy: due to the small size of the pores water cannot penetrate through fabric
water impermeability: the value of water impermeability is no less than 2000 mm of water column
vapour permeability: sizes of pores are sufficient to allow moisture evaporation to come out and the fabric to 'breathe'
protection from the wind: the tunnel-shaped structure of the pores splits streams of air and creates a micro-turbulent effect which hinders wind to pass through.
Due to vapour resistance fabrics with the Climate 2+ coating can not be only used to make protective linings for suits but clothing completely.
Climate 3
The Climate 3 coating is created by laminating the fabric with a hydrophilic membrane.
The membrane’s compact and strong structure gives the fabric the following qualities:
waterproof qualities: lack of pores prevents any liquid from penetrating the fabric. The value of waterproofness is more than 8000 mm of water column (according to the DIN European standard, waterproof fabrics have a value of 2000 mm). The test results guarantee complete waterproofness during a 24-hour rain
vapour permeability: evaporation of water is possible because of hydrophilic elements in a molecular chain ‘absorption-diffusion-evaporation’
protection from the wind.
Climate 3 coating fabrics are recommended for manufacturing workwear for people who stay long hours in the rain, strong wind and heavy snow.
Climate 3+
Climate 3+ coating fabrics are made up of three layers, which are stuck together: the outside fabric, the membrane and the lining. A combination of functions, which the layers of the coating can fulfil, guarantees the following unique properties:
waterproof qualities: the value of waterproofness is more than 8000 mm of water column. The fabric guarantees waterproofness during a 24-hours rain
vapour permeability and protection from overheating: the membrane is made from hydrophilic polyurethane, through which molecules of water (sweat) can penetrate, cellular structure of the lining does not allow moisture to come into contact with the skin
protection from the wind: multi-layer coating and no pores guarantee full protection from the wind
long lifecycle: the dense synthetic cellular lining successfully protects the membrane from mechanical damage
the ready-made clothing has light weight: clothing with Climate 3+ coating needs no additional lining and has one layer
easy-care: due to the oil and water repellent properties of the fabric it hardly ever gets dirty and dries quickly after washing.
