Antistatic fabrics
1149-1: Protective clothing. Electrostatic propeties. Test method for measurement of surface resistivity
1149-3: Protective clothing. Electrostatic propeties. Test method for measurement of charge decay
Tchaikovsky Textile produces fabrics with embedded fibres that protect from static electricity. These fabrics have the form of a closed loop which makes electrical charge flow down.
The main fibres of the fabric are blended with conducting yarns made from Bekitex (Belgium) stainless steel fibres. Tchaikovsky Textile has an exclusive right to use the Bekitex fibres in Russia. The fabric complies with the European standard EN 1149.
Due to special technology of inserting antistatic yarns, the fabric has the following significant advantages:
it has a resistivity of 104-105 Ohm
it promotes distribution of static electrical charge (EN 1149-1)
it provides instant charge flowing down (EN 1149-3)
it retains its anti-electrostatic properties for 100 washing cycles.
